Best Kid-Friendly Halloween Places to Visit in Southern California

1. PAW Patrol Halloween

This Halloween for kids event is hosted by Target stores. Its theme is based around PAW Patrol, a Nickelodeon kids’ show. This is a family friendly event where kids can dress up in costume and trick-or-treat throughout the store. There will even be a screening of an exclusive PAW Patrol episode and your children also have the opportunity to win some in-store giveaways!

2. Nights of The Jack

Nights of The Jack features Halloween-themed attractions along a 0.5 mile nature trail that is great for pictures. This trail is filled with thousands of hand-carved jack o’lanterns along with various beautiful lit up pumpkin installations and artists’ works. This year their event will feature a “SpongeBob Squarepants” themed illustration! There are also food trucks serving food and drinks so you can enjoy the attractions at your leisure! The event starts in the evening and advance ticket purchases are needed.

3. Scarium of the Pacific

4. Kidspace Pumpkin Festival

Not only is admission to the festival free (with tickets requires for some activities), but there are also various Halloween fun for the whole family! This Pumpkin Festival includes a pumpkin patch, festival games, crafts, pony rides, petting zoo, and free performances for everyone to enjoy. All proceeds benefit the Kidspace Children’s Museum.

5. Boo at the LA Zoo

The LA Zoo is transformed for Halloween themed festivities! This event is hosted by the Department of Beaches & Harbors and has both daytime and nighttime activities. However, the night time activities are recommended for those ages 13 and up. A few include: pumpkin decorating, giant grid maze, buccaneer pirate ship your children can play on, face and hand paintings, and various live performances, music, and kid shows!
